Great point! I worry I may not have been wicked clear.

A bit more context for the two scenarios I was trying to outline:

Given a url to an external website, example.com, I am wondering if my post should link directly to example.com or if I should post a link to me that then points to example.com.

Now that I’ve typed this all out, though, I realize that each has a URL (duh…), the difference is in syndication behavior. On twitter or on micro.blog the first option never lands you on my domain. The second option first takes you to my domain where you then have to click through.
